CACTUS WILL BE PLAYING AT THE GEORGE HOTEL ON THE 7th OF APRIL IN THE FRONT BAR & THE 8th IN RAFTERS.

THIS WILL BE OUR 1ST GIG IN 6 MONTHS.

DAVE & BONDY ARE COMIN BACK FROM PERTH FOR THE WEEKEND SO WE THOUGHT WE MIGHT AS WELL DO A COUPLE OF SHOWS.

_____________for those of you who don`t know Cactus has been taking a break from gigs for a while. this will be our first show for some time and probably our last for a while. Dave and Bondy are taking time out from their busy giging and recording schedule throughout Scarbourgh & Freemantle and are about to release their second single from the forthcoming album "hey baby do your thing on my love sling" the single is called "the serpent of love"_which has hit the charts big time in waubra and looking like it will take echuca by storm. their tour will start in early 2006 starting in mildura___________________

Jamie has just returned from a tour of Linton Trentham & Sunshine taking part in numerous hip hop bop hoopsip dip jive acid hip gigs with his band "FUNK my Love Stick till it cant be FUNKED no More" and should be releasing his first single called "Gimmie Six Months With You" you should be seeing a lot more of his band in early 2006, 2007 or 2008 when they start their world tour of Domination throughout Victoria

Paul still has no job but has been filling in his time persuing his own recording contract doing remakes of 80s songs that where never popular. word has it that he will soon feature on numerous recordings from popular studios around the Western Victorian and World areas and get this, this is the catch, no one will know it is actually him.........

this should catapolt him to instant stardome across the globe, but no one will know. not even him. how fucking new is that, fuckin NEW!

Welcome to www.cactuslive.com. Cactus is a four piece cover band ( based in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia ) who are full of energy, fun and good times playing music from the 70s through to current top 40 hits, always keeping their music new, alive and exciting.

Although only together since may 2001 the members of Cactus boast a wealth of experience in many aspects of the live music industry. Some of the bands that these guys have been involved with include Mr Mischief, FJunk, Skitzo & The Frenics, Hype, Jellybean Addiction, Rockasaurass 1, 2 & 3, Worn Hole, Stormfront and Persona and are just some of the bands they have played in that have had success playing live in a professional working atmosphere in the coverband and original music scene around Melbourne and the Western Victoria area.

The Four Piece line up includes:

David Hughes : Vocals / Percussion

Paul Wilson : Guitars / Vocals

Chris O`Brien: Bass Guitars / Vocals and wooden arms

Chris Bond : Drums / Percussion / Samples

Together they make a tight and professional act with great importance placed on fun and entertainment value and always shows their audience a good time.

1st march

Cactus will be in Mildura For the Easter Weekend Playing Friday,Saturday & Sunday at O`Maleys. Should be a fun action packed wekkend for all. We love playing this venue and have been told this is their biggest weekend of the year with lots happening in the town.

Bondy has decided to hang up the boots with cactus and move to perth to take up a new job.

At present we have our mate Mark the Fark filling his position and doing a great job

HOORAY this is amazing! we are actually going to rehearse tonight and hopefully have some new songs for you. wonders never cease...............

After some careful thinking by management and a few renovations it has been decided that the bands at rafters nightclub (in Ballarat) will stay.

There is nothing quite like Live Music!

For those of you who don`t know Cactus is now doing an Acoustic act

Cactus Acoustic are availible for private shows, pubs, clubs or any special occasion.

We can also incorporate the live band & acoustic sets to suit your function, which has been very successful on a couple of occasions.

NEW BASS PLAYER FOR CACTUS:

Bass player Mr James Weyers has decided to hang up the boots with Cactus due to other commitments. Jimmy has been with Cactus from the first note and will be sadly missed by us all. We love you Jimmy!

Comming in to fill the boots of Jimmy will be Chris O`Brien. Chris has a wealth of experience playing in bands such as Wormhole, Persona and Stormfront just to name a few.
