Dave Hughes (Vocals / Percussion)
Dave originally tried his hand at freelance gynaecology, however
after some nasty and drawn out legal battles he thought it was time
for a career change.
This was followed up by some brief appearances in low budget porn
movies such as "Backdoor Brides" and "ya mama likes
it like that!".
After falling into a combine harvester, in a tragic farming accident
Dave decided it was time to get serious!
While sweeping floors at a local music store, Dave going about
his usual daily routine of abusing the b'jesus out of anyone that
walked through the door, was discovered by Paul as a potential singer.
The rest as they say is history.

Paul Wilson (Guitars / Vocals)
Paul Samual Peter John Luke Wilson, born the youngest child of
18, Paul was constantly struggling for attention from his parents
and siblings alike.
But tragically one day, when a cry for attention went drastically
wrong, resulting in 3rd degree burns to 70% of his eldest brothers
body, Paul was kicked out of home.
Being only 12 years old, Paul had only one means of generating
cash, and sadly that was to sell his young body on St Kilda beach.
One day, while greeting the morning from the comfort of his cardboard
box house, Paul spied a discarded acoustic guitar in an apartment
he accidentally broke into???
Teaching himself rock licks from the old school, Paul won back
the love and much needed attention of his family.

Chris O`Brien (Bass Guitars / Vocals)
Perhaps one of the most tragic stories in Cactus, was born Christina
Escargo Vince O`Brio", in Cuba (South America) in 1973.
Born a heroin dependant baby, Christina (who later changed his
name to Chris), underwent several organ transplants by the age of
11 years.
While in hospital in 1990 Chris met life long friend "Mike
Oxlong". Mike later talked Chris into smuggling 52 condoms
full of rare birds in his rectum across the US border. Chris being
naive, agreed to such a lucrative offer and needless to say, he
was caught by US customs with the 52 birds and 12kgs of birdseed.
Spending 6 years in Fawlson prison, Chris learnt to play the blues
on bass guitar and also to never face the wall while in the shower
block.
Once released from prison in 1996, he moved to Australia to make
a new start forming a vigilante group called "The Red Dragon".
This is where he met and befriended Bondy, ( the man with the wooden
arms) and the pair eventually found their way to Cactus.

Mark The Fark (Drums / Percussion)
Mark The Fark wanted nothing more than to play the drums, but as
a boy born with no arms, this dream was far from reality.
At four years old a non-intended cruel Christmas present, of a
scooter from his parents left Mark The Fark broken hearted.
At eighteen years of age Mark The Fark met (to be future bass player),
Chris O`Brien, a local vigilante and builder of weapons out of timber.
Chris went straight to work building Mark The Fark some arms in
order to sign him up with his Red Dragons (a vigilante group from
the east side).
Once equipped with his new arms Mark The Fark paid his dues to
the Red Dragons and then pursued his life long dream of playing
the drums.
